Powering the Mustang GT is an improved version of the Mustang’s renowned 5.0-litre V8 engine, which incorporates dual fuel injection technology for enhanced performance. While the Mustang Mach 1 has a fearsome, specially modified and calibrated 5.0L V8, capable of an outstanding 460 PS at 7,250 rpm and 529 Nm [390 ft/lb] of torque at 4,900 rpm.
The GT comes with either a smooth and responsive 6-speed manual or a sophisticated 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Mach 1 Tremec 6-speed manual transmission has been tested to Boss 302 track endurance standards, and the 10-speed auto has been upgraded with a new torque converter, supporting optimized torque capability and performance.
