With Transit Double-Cab-in-Van there’s plenty of space for your whole work crew plus all their gear.

Three front passenger seats plus a spacious second row of seating, allows for up to 7 occupants. A fully glazed sliding side door provides unrestricted access for rear passengers. And a fixed bulkhead comfortably separates second row seating from the large crew van’s rear load space.

Three available wheelbase options give the Transit Double Cab-in-Van up to 10.6 cubic meters of load capacity in the L4 (extended wheelbase) variant. Meaning you get a large crew van with enough for three standard Europallets.

Key features

FORD ECOBLUE DIESEL ENGINE

Featuring a range of advanced 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines, the New Transit Double Cab is more powerful and more efficient than ever. With four powertrains available, offering up to 185 PS max of horsepower, you’re guaranteed to find the one that meets your specific needs. The New Transit is also available with an HDT (Heavy Duty Truck) engine for customers who need a bit more power. The engine can produce even more torque, making it the ideal large crew van for heavier conversions.

CONFIDENCE IN CHANGEABLE CONDITIONS

Icy winter roads, muddy access tracks – wherever your business takes you, All-Wheel Drive (AWD) gives you the confidence to go there. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is a torque on demand system delivering surefooted progress over challenging surfaces. At the touch of a button or in response to driving conditions, AWD keeps you and your cargo squarely on the road. And for a weight gain of just -60kg, you get added versatility without sacrificing payload.

LANE KEEPING SYSTEM

The Transit Double Cab’s Lane Keeping System uses a forward-looking camera to detect if you’re unintentionally drifting out of lane. Lane Keeping Aid provides gentle steering torque assistance to help guide you back into your lane. If your wheel touches the line or edge of the road, Lane Keeping Alert vibrates the steering wheel and displays a visual warning. The technology automatically deactivates at speeds below 43 mph (64 kph), or can be turned off manually.

PANORAMIC CAMERA

A tiny panoramic camera on the front of the van relays a split-screen image to your Transit’s multi-function display so you can see vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians coming from either side. This front wide-view camera is invaluable if you’re edging out of a narrow parking space, or in a busy road where your view is obstructed.

TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM

If any of your tyres starts to lose pressure during your journey, the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System warns you immediately if there’s a puncture by lighting up an icon on the instrument panel.
